Sophie Kennedy Clark is a Scottish Actress, Producer and budding Filmaker. She studied film at the New York Film Academy before landing her first acting role in the award-winning BBC drama Single Father with David Tennent. Sophie then went on to work with Tim Burton (Dark Shadows), Lars Von Trier (Nymphomaniac Vol.1 and Vol.2), Jake Chapman (The Marriage of Reason and Squalor) and Stephan Frears (Philomena) for which she won the BAFTA for Best Actress. Sophie’s love for independent film has seen her work with director Jamie Jones on his debut feature Obey where Sophie was nominated for best actress at the Tribeca Film Festival and also the National Film Awards where she won Best Actress.Recently Sophie has turned her time and attention to behind the camera with writing and producing. This year she has produced and developed a short film called Gutterpunks with KT Tunstall, and a feature film Sorority written and directed by James Webber.With great passion and story telling prowess, working behind the lens was always on her horizon having learned a great deal from the world renowned auteurs she has worked alongside.
