Claude Simonon is a goldsmith and jewellery designer living in London.
At the age of 14 he was asked to feature in a PRADA advertising campaign along with his brother Louis. He subsequently appeared in several other campaigns including Pepe Jeans.
Having studied Art and Art history Claude displayed a particular talent for making very detailed life size paintings of insects and flowers.
On leaving School Claude initially spent some time working in finance Whilst continuing to make art at home.
Having always made jewellery as a very young boy for his friends and relatives Claude decided he wanted to learn how to create jewellery himself from start to finish and set about finding out all he could about the skills he needed to learn.
Claude was lucky enough to get a placement at The house of Shaun Leane where he spent his time in the workshop and running errands to Hatton Garden. He stayed late whenever he could honing his skills at the bench learning by practice.
Claude has now set up his own studio on the bank of the Grand Union Canal in West London. He has created diamond studded grills for clients including Jamie Winstone and a very popular men’s ring for Basic Rights AW2020 collection.
