After studying design, pattern-making and women’s wear at Bunka in Japan,Yuki realised that being a part conformist Japanese society had caused her to develop a feeling of unfulfillment. Her collage art work is a place of solace for her to reinvent ideals in her own creative language. Yuki’s approach is expressive and yet considered, her recent work included making Hakamas and featuring her family crest, known as a ‘Kamon’. Yuki’s body itself has become one of her most important means of expression.
